The mirror in the bathroom my hair never looked better. Ten feet away the mirror in my bedroom it looks like crap. Can mirrors be made out of a different kind of glass to give off different reflections?

It has absolutely nothing to do with the mirrors themselves or the glass they are made of; a mirror is a mirror is a mirror (unless, I suppose if it is tinted or something really noticable like that). Lighting, your distance from the mirror, and how much of your hair you can see in the mirror are the likely culprits.

The glass is not the problem. The image depends on how the light falls on the mirror, on the light's intensity and direction.
