India - intriguing noisy vibrant human life
China and Japan - oriental mystique
Australia - modern wild west
USA - a dream that woke up all too abruptly

Finland - melancholy
Italy - art
It's funny really how much stereotypes want to impose themselves, when one tries to define one's primary thoughts about a place in a very few words. I left out the countries with more negative connotations because all countries of course have so many more facets both in reality and in my mind; it's all too easy to be unfair, so I wanted to mention only the more positive ones.
