It doesn't mean that you are superior. It means that the person who is jealous of you desires to have something that you have, whether its a personality trait, looks or a physical possession. But it's all that person's perception and it doesn't mean anything. That person may feel that you are superior in some way, but this does not make it so.

No. Jealousy is only a sign that the jealous person is seriously not satisfied and happy with itself. Admiration is the same feeling in a positive way cause it comes from individuals that are first of all ok with themselves. But even that is, like Marci said, only a matter of perception.

To be jealous is also to covet. The person that "is" jealous does not feel superior.
Ask yourself what it is (about you) that you think people are jealous of?
Or do they simply "wish" they had a certian talent you may have?
Your success is measured (only) by you and your definition of the word/meaning of success.
Leave out - superior - thats a whole different playing field.

Jealousy is not neccessarly flattering, I have learnt not to let other people measure me.
they don't have my standards or motives: for example they could be jealous of me because I'm the best *or* they could be jealous because they perceive me as the best according to their standards.

in a way it cld be true depending on y the person is jealous. if people r jealous of ur place in society and where u hav gotten in ur life then yes it is but if they r jealous as in *boyfriend jealous of girlfriend talking with some random* then it is completely untrue.
