stop trying to be nice to her. Ask her if she has a problem with you. But i'd never leave my job for anyone! Good luck!

Hey I know what your going through I've had this for about a year now since i broke away from two female friends in my team, they have tried everything to get me to leave, really nasty! The best advice I can give you is to be as civil as possible and do not give anyone any reason to think that you deserve or created this problem. Under no circumstances should you leave your job. This is bullying pure and simple, if you have a unoin join it and make them aware of the situation. Then if you feel like you need to make a complaint to your manager. Good luck x

Hello,
(ANS) Its called office politics, its called life, its called bitching.
**Look you have a good job with a good salary DONT cut & run (leave) in my opinion.
**You should stand your ground, why? should you leave just because someone you work with is nasty to you, perhaps your being sweet & nice only provokes her even more?
**Perhaps if she got some of her own medicine back she would change her tune? Some people like to dole the nasty stuff out but dont like it or cannot hack it when it comes back at them!!.
**Only if after a few months, if it hasnt blown over and been forgotten & only after you have stood your ground. If it still continues & life is unbearable should you reconsider & think of leaving.
**Surely your boyfriend (ex-workmate) would agree?

Stop being a bliddy doormat. You just have to work in the same space, you don't have to be nice to her, especially if she can't do the same for you. Just ignore her behaviour, and only speak to her on necessity.
OR you could be brave and ask her what the problem is, clear the air, and carry on regardless.
You have a choice, and as you seem to be the one with the problem you have to tackle it somehow.

Confront her - not negatively, just ask her has she got a problem with you and can you sort it out. It would be silly to walk out because of some childish behaviour (hers not yours), never walk out of a job with nothing else to go to, it always makes things a hell of a lot more difficult and stressful.

The best thing to do is to take her aside and explain how you feel in the nicest possible way. Try to get her to understand how she is making you feel.
Don't worry too much about how she responds straight away (even if its negative). Give it a week and if there's no improvement go and speak to your manager.
Explain to them that you've tried to resolve the situation with the person in question and that it hasn't worked and that you've now got no choice to ask them to deal with it.
You'll get a more favourable response from all parties concerned if you try and sort it out with the person directly before approaching your manager with it. Good luck.

Sorry to say it sweetheart, but welcome to the real world.
Everywhere you work, you will encounter behaviour like this sooner or later, you either put up with it and take the money home each month, or you move on and have all the hassle of changing job's repeatedly.
I have a work Motto... I tell myslef " I come here to make money, not friends"
Ignore her and eventlally one of you will move on.

Speak to her and find out why she does that.If she doesn't want that just try and look for a new job that has high salary than the one you have.

Answer lies in your own question. Be always kind to her.
May be her job security is threatened due to your work. Or may be she has domestic problems.
At office your behaviour is always watched by all.
So you are on the right path

Do you have an office manager you could go to? Write down everything she says to you while it is still fresh in your memory, then put in a formal complaint.
