I am on ortho tri cyclen and I sometimes miss days and then double up. Never had any problems, but this month I started my period one week and two days early. It has also lasted 9 days as opposed to my normal 4 or 5 days. Could this be because I missed pills and then doubled up?

This is not u;ncommon when you are late with your pills. The level of hormone changes in the body causing an early "shedding" of the uterine lining. Nothing to worry about it will regulate again when you are taking the pill regularly. Just continue to take as you would, as far as the cycle goes on the package.

Yes.

I suggest that you read the package insert directions on your pill when you fill your next prescription, especially if you want these pills to be effective.

If memory serves, when you miss a pill, you are supposed to take it immediately, but not double up. If you miss a pill during a cycle, you should use a condom or other birth control method until you have completed a full cycle without missing.

You might want to look into getting the shot instead, then you won't be missing.
