for your first tampon use one with a plastic applicator, follow the instructions inside the box..... unwrap, hold onto the finger grip area (at the bottom of the piece with the tampon in it) insert curved end into vagina, push lower portion of applicator into the upper portion as you slowly pull the upper portion out, remove applicator completely and if plastic throw in trash... you could also use ob brand where your finger is the applicator, the tampon itself is silky covered and glides in easily, though gross wash your hands well afterwords

There are directions on the box. Just don't force it in and make sure that when it is in that you take the applicator out and that the string is hanging out. You should start off with a "light", which is the smallest until you get used to wearing them.

most packets will come with instructions, but most importantly relax while u r doing it, it is not going to hurt, u simply take off the plastic wrapping, pull out the string and then with clean fingers push it into your vagina as far as it will comfortably go, try the smaller sized ones when u first begin and remember to change tampons often

Yep, pads suck. They are self-explanatory just guess and I am sure it will be all good.
And I think they have directions in the box.
