certain I did. " this can be a first. i'm Speechless." ok no longer so undesirable. i can tolerate that slightly. besides the undeniable fact that it is a jab at what she did. yet, this remark grow to be uncalled for. " in the renowned words of The Simpsons ' Ha Ha' (imitating Bart Simpson)" grow to be a tasteless act. i do no longer imagine they ought to offer again the grammies or have them taken faraway from them as the different 2 were very poised. yet Natalie Maines aka The fat Chick, must have known more beneficial advantageous. I actually have suggested one billion situations I HATE BUSH. So i do no longer base this on that remark awhile again, as I not in any respect like the Dixie Chicks. i'm as independent as they arrive. Her moves on the Grammies were very unladylike and uncalled for.

These girls clawed their way against adversity when they could have skulked away into obscurity.
(Actually, if you listen to the lyrics, the song IS NOT about the President, but the death threats and violent backlash from the public over a flippant, ill-timed comment that the media exploited to the fullest.)
It was a message about coping with the anger on the journey to forgiveness. Other musicians supported them because they understand the role the media plays in these matters.
And the underdogs won. Bravo!
And Natalie Maines just says what she thinks. Not a crime in America. And not a word about Bush. I hope that makes you happy.

After All the Crap the Chicks and their fans went thru, this is 110% Vindication for all of us!!! When the Bandwagon fans, Nashville, and the Industry turned their backs on them and us, The Real True Fans. The Real True Fans kept on Supporting them!!! Anybody who is a Real True Fan of theirs is Smiling from Ear to Ear. This makes My Year!!! I went to their Concert in November in Phoenix, it was smaller in scale compared to their last tour when they were Huge, but it was Great to see The Real True Fans come together and support the Chicks!!! So Natalie has every right to do what she did at the Grammys, She could have been Nastier, but it was Great that She did it the way She did it by saying, "Well, to quote the great 'Simpsons' — 'Heh-Heh.' So "Heh Heh" to all those people who turned their backs on the Chicks!!!

I did not watch the Grammys, so what did they say? Did they use the "I thank god" line?
