She went to jail for lying to a grand jury, not insider trading.

No actually she was getting her tips from the CEO of the company. The CEO was also giving stock tips to his daughter.

Insider trading is BAD. lots of people do it, but if you get caught you go to jail.
In the UK the stock broker would have been guilty too of CONSPIRICY. and down he goes too.

Because it was insider trading and she new it. If someone you know robs a bank and you JUST drive the getaway car, you're still a dillhole. Get it?
