I just saw online that the President tried to get rid of the ARC. I mean, I've seen it do a lot of great things for a lot of great people in the Appalachian Region. It just seems to me that a "Compassionate Conservative" would not try to get rid of such a great program. I understand his limited government mindset, but getting rid of it just doesn't make any sense. Also, I just saw that the new Congress should renew it even today so it is still going strong. I'm glad it wasn't killed off.

It helped people but was badly mismanaged...also was a Democratic established program and was being run under THEIR rules...which means waste and fraud...
