Don't compare yourself to others or lower your goals. You should simply try your best. Be proud of what you've accomplished and be thankful for what you have because there are so many people in the world who don't have what you do. Don't let other people's perceptions of what makes a worthwhile person cloud the fact that your happiness and ability to look yourself in the mirror is the most important thing. Learn to have faith in yourself regardless of what other people think and remember that if what you're doing isn't making you happy then you need to be doing something that does.

it could be gentic if youre family had these problems, or maybe your chemicals are unbalenced in your briean ,whatever the case dont just beat yourself up....if you re feeling blue for over two weeks and/or you arnet intereasted in things you once were that's when its really depression, there is alot of help out there for you id you re feeling this way or know anyone who is call a hot line, go to a local church service..when i get really down i sit down and make a list of everything i have to to be thankful for then i list all the things that are making me sad, once its on paper you can began to work through it,make a small list of things you'd like to get finished this week once you accomplish them mark them off this will help your self esteem some...then whatever its church,a family member or a friend try to force yourself to enjoy life, soon you ll be feeling better.I ve had problems with depression too and in fact most people do at some point its a good toward feeling better start that you asked on here!

you wallow in self pity, im guessing you drink alot too. listen the problem is you arent filling your life with joy, some people use God, some use drugs, some use their families. find joy in your life, volunteer your time helping people, do you really want to major in biology? are you finding yourself working towards a goal that someone else set for you? go for a light jog or ride an exercise bike 2 or 3 times a week, as a biology major u should know that exercise releases chemicals to the brain that combat deppression and stress....

I am a little bit like you, i still dont know how to get rid of these sensations but u can start to look at yourself instead of comparing with other people, because always in everywhere will be someone better and someone worse, if you keep wondering how much you worth you'll only get a mess
Just try to something that u like to do and you are good in

The Depressive mindset is that there's nothing in the world that I can conquer
Chemical Depression can be inherited
I have disabling anxiety and insomnia...I do well on antidepressants...
I had to give myself permission to be a depressed-a-holic, because I wasn't surrounding myself with people who gave me permission to be me...
I've probably been depressed my entire life...over the years I've learned that the depressive mindset is as valid as any other...
I celebrate my depression because I know that, tomorrow, I won't wake up with a different set of problems (avoidant personality or schizoaffective disorder) so I can have my depression which I know pretty well..
I think it's neat to be me, because it's just as valid as any other thing...
the greatest epiphany for me was to say I like my depression and I liked me and I like depressed people
I think depressed people are neat - - and I tell them so...chronically happy people aren't as much fun to be around - - and I think it's just as valid to be "negative" as it is to be shallow...

Oh yes you are something-someone to be more exact. Drinking in itself can run down your body and even make depression worse or could even cause it so try a different life style. Use your brains for a good purpose -study don't party.

Whatever you focus on expands. You are putting in orders to the universe of what you want from life and how you treat the present moment is how the moment will treat you in return. If you say and focus on all of those negative things, they will and are coming back to you multiplied.
Instead, say, "I am something." and "I am the best." You will notice a huge difference. Be thankful and grateful for what you already have instead of focused on what you don't have.

stop drinking its not solving and start thinking of all the happiest moments day by day. do not ever commit sucide at all even if u have thoughts dont ull regret it wherever u go when u die and leave everything and realize omg my life was so good. i had thought like that too not anymore i lived in the moment and tried to make the best of everything.

Lower your standards. If you set easily attainable goals, you will find yourself feeling better about yourself. Either that or listen to a lot of emo music. I dont know if it helps, but it should lead you to connect with other depressedaholics like yourself. Where can I buy some drepressedahol?
