Maybe it has something to do with the concepts of Least Upper Bound and Greatest Lower Bound and their characteristics? You know, things such as deriving proofs of existence (and uniqueness) for irrationals and transcendentals, proofs of existence (and uniqueness) for limits (including derivative and integral forms).

even you didnt reformulate it, i understand what you want to say
It's simple, if there is an odd number of values, it's the value in the middle. If there is an even number of values there is no solution. I assume that all numbers are different.
