Health care in the U.S. defiantly needs reform.

I am not sure if "Universal" is the actual solution.

But we need to do something because every one will be working at a Walmart eventually, and we all know what their benefit packages are like.

Yes. We're already paying for tons of illegals here and their children, why not have everyone have the health insurance to cut down on the emergency room visits for non-emergency care.

Why would anyone give planning of their health care for them and their families to some bureaucrat politician?

I can't think of anything worse that a person could do in their lifetime.

Imagine giving control of your health to either Bush or Clinton. You think they could do a better job than you?

Only greedy people who expect others to pay for their health care could go for a plan like this.

No, because certain state governments are already having budgeting difficulties, so it wouldn't really be a strong economic possibility.

Also, as stuff like that becomes more government-oriented, the quality drops. Doctors, private practices, they don't have the motivation to work as hard if they're not getting paid more, especially if they paid all that money to go to college (and probably have some hefty student loans to pay off).

I just don't think the system we have now would support it. It wouldn't fit into the puzzle at all...

NO! It has failed in Canada and England. What does it take for us to wake up? Canadians that have the money, come here for treatment so they can get real health care

No, there are millions that can pay for their health care.

The US should see that those who don't have health care should be able to get the help.

Why give it to those that can afford it? Tell me why?
