$20 just to get to swim in it?? i dont think thats fair not even residents get a discount its just a water hole in simplicity.. they also have a gift shop an gym that also provides income.. they are benifiting from the large amount of retirees that are in the area , but shouldnt i be able to complain to the newspaper or will no one see my point

also i have to deal with the large amount of non-local traffic this thing develops so in my opinion i should get a discount at least, as a taxpayer of the area

go a head and speak your mind it's the great thing about freedom of speech. there will be people who agree and disagree. I'm betting there is a cost to maintain the spring so one get sick. but those are my thoughts.

If the spring is on their property and the pool is on their property, there is absolutely nothing you can do about the owners activities. If others are willing to pay the $20 for a swim, why is it only you who has their tweeds in a twist? What actually IS your point? Just suck it up and pay the $20 - or don"t. Get over it!

It's there property, so they can charge. Just like with anything else, you have to pay to take advantage of it. As for benefiting from the retirees in the area, that's called being enterprising.

But to answer your question, no you shouldn't be able to complain. They are doing nothing wrong.

In our world, people can own natural resources (oil and trees for example). Ergo, they can sell them for whatever the market will bear. If you can stop people from using the facility, then they will reconsider. Otherwise - forget about it.
