Even if you don't accept the difference in scale or context, even if you equate the two, does the one excuse the other?

By the way I'm neither - but when I criticize Islam and you folks come back with "Christianity has its issues too" it's kind of the same logic as if I'd criticized Ted Bundy and you'd come back with "leave Ted alone, Charles Manson was just as bad."

I used to think Islam was a religion of peace until the Danish cartoons incident. Up until then I thought that radicals were the minority, instead peace loving Muslims are. Think of it this way, when Hollywood mocks Jesus does the pope issue a edict calling for the beheading of directors? No. When Jews are ridiculed around the world, do we see rabbis calling for a holy war? No again. When the Buddha is poked fun at do we see monasteries across Asia rise up with violent fury? Once again no. I could go on.

there are no excuses... but for the most part, it's only like 5 percent of the Islamic population that is causing terrorism (it's millions of people and maybe one attack or two around the world every day, so that's millions every day that aren't attacking)...

unless you're talking about the law they practice, which is a totally different subject, but most people are referring to terror when they talk about it...

... and only 5 percent of the Christian population has probably caused trouble in it's history too...

to lump the whole religion in together is as naive as saying Ted Bundy should be left alone...

No one does not excuse the other. First I want one person to tell me one event where a Christian said, in todays world now, I am killing all these people for the glory of God or Jesus?

I am a Christian female and the faith is neither misogynistic or violent if and when we follow the Bible instead of acting on our own sinful ways. There were many disciples who were female and Jesus Christ spoke highly and gratefully of them and he treated them as sisters ("Whoever does God's will is my brother and sister and mother" - Mark 3:35). Husbands are commanded to love their wives the same way that Christ loves his church. All of Proverbs 31 is praise for the faithful woman. In the Old Testament God put many women in family and community leadership.
As for violence Jesus teaches us to love and forgive one another the same as our Father has loved and forgiven us. He tells us to pray for our enemies. But yes, we are told to fight for the weak and the fatherless; to fight for the oppressed who cannot fight for themselves. God has blessed us and expects us to take responsibility for others.
I cannot speak on behalf of Islam but be careful you don't critcize them on falsehoods any more than the other. There are as many Christians who disobey God as there are Moslems who disobey but God is not the one at fault when we do. It's not that God loves us because we deserve it; it's that he loves us even when we don't deserve it.

Christians should have their own holy war against any other trump up group of people claiming a holy war against US. Nah, then that would make us fanatics. Just send 100 Battalions of M1 Abrabrams over with crosses painted in camoflague and blow them all back to the stone age.

How dare you you compare us to those crazy islamists. I will be forced to mount a crusade and then burn you at the stake. The nerve of you to say such things. Ha!

Your premise is mistaken. That's where you lost me. Christianity is not misogynistic or violent. That you claim that it is without any attempt at a supporting argument can only mean your arrogance surpasses your ignorance.

Your statements are twisted and abominable.

Why did you go looking through the dictionary to make accusations so ignorantly?

Read the Bible sometime, you might learn something intelligent about God that you are obviously ignorant to.
