I don't know your present country/city of residence. There are three international airports in Kerala state. If you are coming from outside India, Cochin airport would be the better gateway for you. You can also reach by train. Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) is the capital city of Kerala linked rail network to all major cities of India.

You can find many budget and 3star hotels all over the state. I would suggest you to visit the following link for more details

You can access Kerala by Air,Railway and by Road. You have hotels in all budgets ranging from Rs.500 onwards, so getting a place of your choice will not be an issue.
