I have a learning disability and if you read my other question, it is almost to impossibility to do well in school without complete i and utter suffering (would rather die, than to put as much effort in as i did in highschool, no joke I really choose death over it). Iam seriously considering writing off college, i did really well in high school( nhs,nths,nshss,3.8gpa,eaglescout rank) I took 3 classes in community college, 2 B's and a D' (car accident happened) and drop out off 8 classes. In highschool my day and night revolved around schoolwork, because iam slower than others, it does stuff to your mind, I almost committed suicide over it ( skip meals and sleep to get time in to get things done, got kicked out for some time when the school found that out ) should I even be seeking college? If I got into it I would have to go through more hell than the average person. I have heard the "ADHD is fake theory" already.it would be an unnappreciated answer

My bro-in-law is a car mechanic at a dealership. I'd say he's got a comfortable life. I'd say it's a good life. He's almost a millionaire, and he's only about 35. If he had gotten off his butt and bought a house a few years ago like we've been telling him too, he would be a millionaire already. No college, just mechanic school.

why did u work so hard in high school if you were going to throw it all away? think about that. but then again college is not for everybody. you can definately live a fullfilling life without college, but i'd say going to college is the best option to keep your options opened. however since you have some sort of disability i think it's best to talk to your counselor or someone from the colleges. tell them about it and ask them their advice, it'll help out alot.

hope you make the right decision.

What do you want to do with your life? What kind of job were you thinking about? Look at your options in the service. There are many job opportunities in the Army/Air Force. You might find something you would enjoy. I am not a recruiter but a servicemember in the Army. I really enjoy being in the Army and I think that it is worth considering.

There are programs to help you cope with your disability. You shoul visit the schools Disability department, every school is required by law to have one. There are plenty of students with learning disabilities that attend college, so don't use it as an excuse.
