Whoa, hold up, I knew he wasn't president, give me some credit here. I just took it for granted that everyone knew until recently I had 2 people in a conversation argue I was wrong, that got me wondering just how lost are some of these High School 'Graduates'.

Probably the same amount that know that Hubert Humphrey was never president. I have heard people say that Hubert Humphrey was a president. But, I was a history major and people just can't resist trying to show me how much more they know about history than I do. Actually had someone argue with me that Thomas Jefferson was the 2nd president and not the 3rd. I tried to tell them John Adams was the 2nd but you know how people are when they think they are right! Go figure!

Surprisingly a lot of people don't know that he was never a president...because he is printed on the 100 dollar bill most think that he was a president because all other bills and coins have presidents on them...

I never thought that. Someone really young or without much education would have thought that. Or someon who saw Dead Presidents when they were showing the 100 dollar bills being burned at the beginning.

No, he wasn't.

...but I'm trying to remember the name of the member of the British Parliament who stated that if America could produce a man like Franklin, it DESERVED Independence...

Good Question!

This is totally new to me..........I've been on this earth 65 + years and NEVER have I heard anyone say that, or even say they thought that.
Will wonders never cease! What is being taught in schools today? Or better yet who pays attention in school.

There is no published data on how many people think Ben Franklin was one of our presidents.
