Ok, so we all know that curse words are blocked and replaced with some other word on movies shown on television, but I was watching American pie the other night and they actually replced the word "laid" with "lucky". What's the difference?

It's so dumb, but censors feel that lucky is a happier word and so is more acceptable. Well, that's the simplistic way to put it but...

Maybe the censor was thinking of Lucky Luciano.

In Vegas, anyone with $500 can get laid. Not everyone who goes there gets lucky.
