I mean you actually know him/her for a couple of days, then he/she goes away back to his/her country. You are left alone. So you are just trying to create some image of this person. After that you fell in love with this image and you really suffer from not being able to see or talk to him/her. You imagine spending time with this person and such thoughts haunt you for the whole day till you go to bed. What should I do in this case?

hun I really dont know:(...I only got to see someone once for like 2 hours...they didnt say a word to me or even see me...but I fell inlove with them and now its haunting me and if I could go back and never had seen him I would....he has been haunting my thoughts for about a year now and I constantly think of him and it doesnt help when my friends keep giving me pics and I hear his voice everyday......he is everywhere and it drives me insane trying to get him out of my mind but I just cant and it hurts so bad that I cant be with him because he is now he is caring for himself not so good and it hurts so bad...I want to be there for him and there are rules all around me but the rules dont matter I would if I could....

You did know him for a couple of days, and sometimes some people can do that, leave a deep impression on you in a very short time. But then, here you have to first be sure that it is not the ''image'' that you fell for. To make that sure, you should really keep in touch with this person, if you have his email or tele numbers, call in to say hello, perhaps invite him over agian, or just keep in touch through emails, with freindly mails, and freindly conversations. That way, you'd know if it is the ''image'' thing, or if its the magic that some people does on us. But really, i agree with ''moonshot'', wanting is different from having. You have to really find out more so that this image inside you will change on its own, for the better or for the worse....

i dont think you are in love with this person i think you are infatuated, and the only thing that you are in love with is something that is not real something that you have created to help you through this whole being alone thing. maybe there could have been somethin between you two if they did not have to leave. from personal experience my now husband and i both new that we were gonna marry each other the first time we went on a date almost like a love at first site and we both believe that we were soul mates we married 7months later and we have just celebrated our 7 yr anniversary. so it is possible to fall in love with some one just by site, but you have built a false image, if you want to persue a real relationship with this person contact them and go from there

Realize two things, one of which yo ualready alluded to:
1. You are in love with an image, not a reality.
2. Wanting sometimes feels better than having.

i suppose there's some fantasy/reality to pining away for someone you spent a couple of days with. had a good feeling around that persona and felt some deeper connection. its why some people go on a first or second date, third etc. didnt you get a phone or email address? probably couldnt done that. too bad if you didnt. peace

I'm really not sure my husband says that he knew i was the one he was going to marry when he first met me. At that time i had a boyfriend and my boyfriend and my husband worked together and hung out pretty often and he was in a relationship too that was in 2000, and we got to gether about 3 years ago we were dating off and on we went our seperate ways and got back together a few times. in dec. 2004 we got together-together and in dec. 2005 we got married. In early 2004 we were off and on i guess you want to say i got pregnant and he wanted to be around but i didnt think he need to be responsible but like i said since 2000 he said he knew he was going to marry me i was the girl of his dreams it took a few years but it happened and things are great for us. So i assume that i was this to him what you see in this guy/girl is what my husband saw in me. So yes i think its possible. Go with it think of this person every day. You never know you may end up with him/her
