Sometimes the cross over works well. I think Cher is a better actress than a singer. Streisand could act fairly well and made some very entertaining movies. Sinatra did it all and won an Oscar for an amazing acting performance. David Bowie is a very good actor. Sometimes those who are creative are talented in more than one facet of entertaining. It's really no big deal, nobody's required to buy any of her stuff, or her CD. Out of ten who try to cross over maybe one will be successful at doing it, but it's no skin off of my nose if they wish to try their hand at it. What's the big deal?

What do you do for a living? If you are a salesman do you stick to the one product or do you jump around? Ever wait tables? Or did you start in the dish pit and cook for a while before bussing tables to get to the wait position before thinking it's all for the birds and ending up just bar-backing or working the door?

It's all about - money. How much can be squeezed out of this myth of being a celebrity. The sad thing about it is it becomes a case of stretching themselves beyond their talents. Sometimes they also go so far as to believe their own hype. In reality what it says to me is this person doesn't really believe in themselves as (whatever their primary claim to being a celebrity is) so will keep on trying other ways to keep famous and monied.

yea, i saw the grammys too. Um why do people do multiple jobs? why do they hav two jobs? i knw, common man does that to make ends meet. Celebs do it, because they want to showcase their talents. That's what they do. and they wanna do it because they want to reach out to more fans, get more popular. Their income, daily bread, depends on the amount of popularity they have.
