I have been face to face and almost chopped up. I was attacked in my home and never in my life have I seen the look that this guy had on his face. It was pure evil in its truest form.

Yes, I know I did. I dated a guy once long ago who later murdered someone. I have a son-in-law who is a prison guard. When he was in the hospital with a heart attack, there was a guy there for the same reason and he was under guard all the time. When he had to get up and walk the halls as part of his rehab he saw John and stopped to talk. He seemed like a very nice older man and then John told us he is in for killing his wife. That felt really surreal. Also, my sister was dating a guy she met at work at the hospital and since she walked the three blocks to work, he'd stop and pick her up for a ride. I'd met the guy several times and thought he was pretty nice. Then one night he came to her door and when she answered he pushed his way in and raped and beat her. When he left, he told her he'd pick her up for work the next day. Yea, right. By the next day he was back in jail. He'd only been out for a few months and what he'd been in prison for was taking a girl he was dating out on a country road and beating her to death. He only spent 11 years for it and got 6 for raping my sister. Wild huh? I guess I've learned that people who seem so normal can be so evil inside. Too bad the boogie man doesn't look like the boogie man. Or have a big B tatooed on their forehead like Hester had in the Scarlet Letter.

I have worked in a prison. You figure it out. Most are there due to bad judgement or a crime of passion. The creepy ones are the true Sociopaths. They are not only the murderers, but also the drug dealers, a few of the sex offenders and many of those involved in property crime and related areas. Not all sociopaths enter prison or even tend to violate law. They are the ones that know how to manupulate others to gain what they want. The used car dealer that gives you the creeps or the teacher that you don't like, but cannot say why and so forth.

Yes I have. My ex husband crushed a mans head with his truck. He served 3 months of a 5 year sentence. That is not justice.

I'm sure that everyone has at some time or other; we encounter millions of people in our lifetimes, and some of them are people who, sooner or later, commit serious crimes.
