How does Valentine's Day work? Is it basically a day for the ladies or both of the people in the couple? Thanks. =)

The man "better" have a gift for his special someone, or else.

The lady is not so much expected to but, if she has someone that she'd like to show she has feelings for, it's a great opportunity to buy something nice or simply give a card to him.

Valentine's day is a special day when love is in the atmosphere.
It is not only applied to lovers but also to your parents, families, friends etc.
I thiink it would be very nice if everybody considers everyday as Valentines day.
Happy Valentine's Day.

It's a fair exchange, not necessary between romantic couples, I buy my kids miniature valentine boxes to show how much I love them. It is a very commercialized holiday.

my hubby and i don't exchange gifts, but if we did, it would be on both parts. i'm making dinner this year, as a surprise.
we normally go out for dinner, and exchange cards, and he gives me flowers.

my birthday is march 3rd, and our anniversary is April 9th, so it gets too expensive for him to buy gifts.
