John Denver had 3 total children. Zachary and Anna Kate were both adopted while he was married to his first wife Annie, which is who the song "Annies Song" was written. Jesse Belle, who wasn't adopted, is from his second marriage to Cassandra.

He had two adopted children and one daughter (after he had surgery to correct infertility.)
