No, there is no sure way to avoid pregnancy without using contraceptives. Even when you time your cycle and have sex when you aren't ovulating, sperm can survive inside your body for 7 days.

It doesn't exactly sound like you are old enough to be having sex in the first place. There is no such thing as 100% avoidance of pregnancy when you are having sex..
Please use birth control and condoms.. You can get pregnant at any time of your cycle and the second week of your cycle is when you are -most- fertile..
USE CONDOMS!

If your period started on the 1st of February, you are likely to ovulate somewhere between the 10th and the 18th of February. So it is possible to become pregnant on the 9th. What I would look for is the consistency of your discharge. If your discharge is like egg whites you are ovulating. I'd wait until it turns thick and then you are safe until your next period.
