Not really.

No. McCain is a bigger flip flopper than Kerry ever was. First he was against the President then he wasn't then he was. Is he an extreme social conservative or a moderate? Who knows? One day he appears to be a moderate, more importantly HONEST politician, then he goes pandering to the religious right-the most socially conservative group there is. They are the ones who brought you such goodies as a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage and preventing important stem cell research. Not a canidate I will ever support. Lieberman has been the most conservative Democrat ever-he has never stopped supporting Bush even with all the mistakes and criminal behaviour. But I do think the Republicans (likely McCain) will win in 2008 simply because Clinton can't win in this political climate. She has half the country thinking she is some kind of radical wacked out liberal and the other half don't care one way or another.

No I would not because we would get more of the same. Not one of them has spoken out about the lack of credible intelligence that got us into this mess in Iraq. Now, this weekend there was another report that stated the Pentagon admitted "altering" intelligence regarding Saddam's involvement with al-Qaeda. We have heard nothing from either Hawk. Sorry, I couldn't support a ticket of McCain-Lieberman. McCain is the Washingtonian who came up with the surge idea that's not going to be sufficient enough to work. We need a change, not more of the same.

I wouldn't vote for McCain for dog catcher. Now, Newt....different story!

Lieberman is an honest man, a statesman. I would not vote for him for president, but I have a great deal of respect for him!

As far as embryonic stem-cell research goes, they have NEVER done anything positive with them, they have no idea what to do with them. They have used adult cells though.

Yes.
I think a Rudy Guiliani and Joe Liberman ticket would also be better, or Rudy and Condi, but I could see myself supporting any combination of those 4. This is a Republican ticket though, I think that Liberman might run that way, he is the dem I like best though.

It depends on who got the nomination from the Republican Party.

If Giuliani got the nomination, I'd support him.

If Brownback, Tancredo, or Romney got the nomination, I'd definitely support McCain/Lieberman.

I'd even support Lieberman as President and McCain as VP, if that's how the chips fell.

i think of it could help mccain. Lieberman could allure to independents that are surprisingly significant in any close election. it could anger particularly some the republican base, yet they'll nevertheless vote for mccain to end obama.

I really can't imagine either of them trying to go the independent route.

It would be a good cop bad cop type of ticket so no I would not vote that way.

I would want a strong team that could strongly agree on issues and topics.

McCain isn't independent and wouldn't turn his back on the party. No vote from me!
