Okay... I am writing a paper for my English 1102 college course and I need major help:

Discuss the extent to which the protagonist of the story may be considered "abnormal" or unusual to a reader. In what way is she abnormal? In what way can she be understood? Does the story create sympathy for the protagonist? If so how? If not, why not?



so far I have that emily grierson is the protagonist and I have a small list of examples in which she is abnormal... I am looking for a beginning sentence for my paper and a thesis... any help would be appreciated!!! my essay has to be 800- 1000 words. HELP!!!

We understand her as the reader because of her social standing in the community- she is alienated and desperate for companionship, even if it will not be reciprocated in the manner she desires. Homer's homosexuality makes her idea of having a relationship with this man impossiblewhen he is alive, so she makes it possible. I hope this helps.
