I just hate skinny guys who come from places like Vegas and BELIEVE they are "all that". It is necessary for me to do this to keep my sanity.

I don't judge by appearance or origin. If a person's beliefs include racism, I will judge them, especially if they are arrogant or violent. It's necessary for ME, to judge in that way, because I don't want to associate
with people who hate because of skin color.

I gotta agree with River Girl. I have done I try not to but I probably will in the future. And anyone that says they don't is lying. Why is it necessary? I think it all boils down to the basic human instinct for survival do they pose a threat to me based on their appearance and I also think that it has to do with competition am I better looking than her, are my belief's more morally grounded than his, am I more open minded because i feel this way about certain thing's.

By their beliefs. Appearances can be deceiving. You cant generalize based on a persons origin. A persons beliefs are a conscious personal decision. And though its not for me to judge, if I am forming an opinion of them, I must use that information.

I judge people by their intellect. I think that this should be the most important thing to pay attention...Appearance is on the second place, but it should be at least tolerable ;-)
I definitely exclude judging people by their beliefs or origin or color...it doesn't matter at all...

I think it's human nature to judge people by their appearance at first, but you have to be willing to get beyond that stuff and get to know the person. As far as beliefs or anything like that no I don't I value the opinion of others!!

Everyone does...that is where this saying comes from - You never get a 2nd chance to make a 1st impression.

Note to all that say NO they don't judge on appearance. If you were to walk down the street at night, and saw a man that looked homeless and desperate, you're telling me that you wouldn't judge his character right then and there? C'mon.

initially, perhaps appearance, because it is the first way you can know about a person when you first meet him/her. though I do not feel that it is necessary to judge people by their appearances, we sometimes tend to do so unconsciously. as you get to know someone, I would say personality comes in.

Personality. Let me tell you something. It don't matter your color, appearance or belief. What you put out in this world you will back in return. Thats is how people judge one another.

We always say never judge a book by its cover. But the reality is we have no choice unless we get closer. We have to have some tool to protect ourselves from those that would harm us. So we instinctively make a value judgment to avoid danger.
