My Immortal by Evanescence used to make me cry. I dunno if I would call it the SADDEST song I've heard, but it definately struck a nerve.

There are alot of songs composed that will bring tears to the eyes of those who are listening. Alot depends on what is going on in your own life when you hear a song. It is a great thing to feel the artist understands what you are going through and understands. There is a song in the musical Into The Woods called "No one is alone" that will touch anybody.anywhere. anytime. Stephen Sondheim proves once again he is a master at what he does.
