Everytime I get new clothes they fit perfect. After washing and drying the clothes a couple times, they just shrink a bit. I want to figure out how to stop this. Should I just air dry them? Is hot or cold water better? I just need help lol.

Wash in cold water on gentle. Then put them in the dryer for less than 5 minutes. Shake them out straight and hang them on coat hangers. Very important, don't leave them in over 5 minutes. It gives the heat a chance straighten out wrinkles etc. If you just hang them they will be stiffer and all wrinkled! I'm sure you will have to press some items with the iron, after they dry, read labels. I do this all the time I hate my shirts& jeans to shrink!
Try to hang them straight like this: with seams together it will kinda of keep the shape better. You may spread the legs out farther on the hanger.

I wear an XXL and here's what I do.

Wash in cold water.

Hold by shirttails and whip the heck out of them to decrease wrinkles.

Hang to dry.

Once dry, put in dryer on low/medium heat for about 10 minutes with a moist wash cloth. This will generally take care of the wrinkles enough to forget about ironing, and make them nice and soft.

What sick said, it isn't the wash setting that shrinks the clothes it is the water temperature. Cold water doesn't shrink clothes.

Wash it with cold water and don't dry it in the dryer. Just hang it up somewhere and let it self dry. That will help it not to shrink. I can guarantee that.

Wash in cold water and dry on low heat. Or, follow the directions on the tag.

Always wash clothes in COLD water. Clothes do no shrink and they do not crease as much as they would in warm/hot water.

when you first get new cloth`s , you should wash them separately from your other cloth`s ,just in case they are colourfast , to stop shrinkage you should hand wash your cloth`s in warm water ,using a fabric softener should also help ,laying them out flat on a towel , or put them on the line or airier is your choise , i hope this works for you .
