i ve been using this laptop from past yr and a half but recently from past 2-3 months i m facing this problem tht my laptop's cooling fan in on most of the time. it stops jus for a lil while only to start again. is there a problem with my fan? i ve tried using this cooling stand but it didn't helped me.

I would imagine that the heatsink is a little clogged with dust. This impares its ability to dissipate heat, so the processor doesn't cool down as easily.

That is why your fan is on all the time, because it has a hard time cooling the processor and video card down to the temp that it is told to shut off.

Clean it out with a little compressed air, and that should help it.

Not really a recognised science but try the PSU make sure the power good signal wire is OK.
Go to the electronics store get some heatsink compound and whip the back of your lappy take heatsink of CPU and replace heatsink compound(make sure you take old compound off first).

For years past, your fan need replacement, change your fan to a new one in order for your laptop to last.
