Send your passport to your sponsor/employer to UAE through a reliable agent. They can cancel your residence permit on the same day. You will get one year ban to enter UAE on work / residence visa, from the date of cancellation.

If you let it "ride" it will get canceled in 6 months.

There is an automatic ban for your re-entry, though there is no clear law. Depends on how "influential" your sponsor is.

I suggest you study the law on the DNRD site, and not bother to do anything unless you plan to come back in the near future.

Contact either the UAE Embassy in New Delhi or the UAE Consulate in Mumbai. Either office should be able to help you out. Good Luck!!!

You will have to send your passport back to UAE to get it canceled, and your employer can only do it.
