"Do you believe in spirits?" To me, the answer is "yes." The Bible talks about spirits. However, would the question mean spirits flying around being evil? How would you answer about spirits. Not alcoholic spirits either.

I would say yes -- because when it's an evil spirit you can feel it's presence

I "believe" that I do. That may sound strange, but, it is difficult to say with certainty without having first hand knowledge of their existence. I had an experience once when I was in my early teens. I felt a kiss on my cheek (as I was dozing off to sleep) and as I turned over, to this day, I honestly believe that I saw an image of my grandmother's face in my darkened room, and she smiled at me and faded away.
I find it hard to question what I have seen with my own eyes, but, there's always that "skeptical" side that wonders if I actually had fallen asleep and was really just dreaming. (My grandmother had passed away a year earlier)
If there are spirits, they would have to have qualities that are similar to those that they had when they had a "physical" presence. So, they would not HAVE to be evil, unless they were evil in their physical form.
It is this question that gives us the hope that there is "something else" after we pass on. It allows us to feel comfort in knowing that this is not "all there is" and regardless of whether someone believes in heaven and hell, it is still possible to believe that there is a spiritual existence after death. I do believe that there is an existence that allows us to "move on" to a different place or realm or parallel universe, whatever its form, I am convinced that it does not end here. Spirits may be very real, but depending on the person who sees them, their interpretation of whether they are good or evil will likely be based on whether they feel fear or comfort when they experience their presence. Believing in spirits needs experience. Because all religious scriptures are not willing to talk about spirits but they are interested in letting us experience them. Ghosts, fairies, metaphysical incidents --- every celestial being and points about it leads us to a way where we can experience them. Once experienced, belief is for sure!
I am not that much in to biblical quotations but I am aware of a Koranic ayah that says They ask You about spirit, Make them aware that it is from God not from mind.
God or Divine points to the spiritual way of knowing thing instead going through mind. once we have experienced logic will make its way and will be more concrete than the usual believe it or not.

Yes there are spirits around us,but God says that we are not to listen to them,as the devil can turn himself into an angel of light to fool us humans.
The Holy Spirit is the only spirit we should be wanting to get in our lives.

Yes...and we all have distinctly different ablilities to contact or be in cntact with them......many will not like my answer, but it stands...i have seen spirits thru to the other side....laugh if yo uwant to....picked winning lottery numbers many times, no I am not reich, my wealth is inside.....called deaths of family members within two hours of it happening.......we ALL have this ability...it is how we allow our heads to be "wrapped" and be conduits for same said...thanks,,,great question!!!

Some of us don't get to choose the answer to this one. Those who have the bloodline, already know they are there. Some can even listen to what they know. Some are able to talk back.
My wife knows I have this "gift" and it freaks her out.
