I match it with another single sock. I don't match socks by colour, I match them by thickness.

I keep my odd socks right in the sock drawer. Until I have done laundry 1 or 2 times more and didnt find the match. Especially when it was an expensive pair of socks like some of my dress socks.

I keep them in this bag and once in a while when I find more without matches I take them out and go through them. Usually I can find a few matches. The ones I still have after like a year or two I throw away.

I get so mad when that happens, I just put them in a paper bag and hope the other will turn up, so I have a bag full of mixed up socks,lol.

not in a box, but in a drawer and I guess I just need to accept the fact that the matching socks are just not gonna show up :(

Hahah ! Good question ! I usually let my cat play with the odd one - and then hope it is not too gross when its pair shows up ! But what I have yet to figure out is HOW do they go missing in the first place !

No, I just let them mingle in the corner of the drawer, and wear them as pairs now & then so they don't get lonely . . . during the wait (I think the Sock Fairy will do right by them someday).

I make them into dolls, actually. My cat also has a stash of socks under the bed.
