Most people don't understand trends and that a cold winter does not equal an end to our global climate change fears. Most Repubs. like to portray to us that it is a myth b/c they want to keep their oil friends happy. If the poop hits the fan, you know the politicians and their people will be safe. It will be people like you and I who will starve as a result of the impending famine. I believe the 150,000 scientists from all over the world who came together and unanimously came to the same conclusion...anyone with half a brain and the ability to shut off Fox News should feel the same way.

Climate change (Global, or better yet, "solar warming") may or may not be occurring now, but it is still being debated among prominent scientists (some of whom are still saying that the climate is cooling, as we were “assured” by the same scientist back in the 1970’s). So-called, “man-made global warming” is very likely a ‘myth’ and is pushed on us as “imminent” and “threatening to mankind” not by scientists but by bureaucrats (in the U.N.) who are ‘vested’ financially in the argument going one way.

It's really not so much a "myth" as an evil socialist plot to destroy the economies of the developed nations while giving China, India, Russia and all the other "developing" economies a 'free ride’ (no mandatory carbon reductions). Oh course, with 16 new coal-fired power generating stations going 'on-line' in China this year alone (and plans for hundreds more in the next 10 years); any actions by the U.S., E.U and Japan will be meaningless (even if carbon reductions could theoretically prevent the climate from warming up and/or if it is warming up due to man's activities).

"Carbon credits", which punish the ‘rich’ nations and correspondingly reward the ‘poor’ nations, don’t actually reduce carbon emissions; they merely transfer wealth from the rich to the poor countries. This is something that the socialists (and poor countries) have eagerly been promoting for the last 50 years. Now, they have a new excuse to accomplish it!

Some liberal ‘bloggers’, inadvertently revealed another of the true but hidden agendas of the carbon reduction scheme. They believe that it’s the only way to get rid of global terrorism which is sponsored primarily by oil money. This much is largely true. At least they recognize that we have a ‘global problem’ with terrorism. I was glad to learn that. However, it can’t work because nations such as China and India will have an insatiable thirst for oil over the next 50 years, so, it won’t matter even if the rich nations cut their oil use by 10 or 20 percent. China has already virtually laughed off the suggestion that they should take any action to reduce their carbon emissions since they claim that the industrialized nations created the problem over the last 50 years.

We need a voice of sanity, such as Senator Inhofe, to moderate and deliberate against the loonies who are anxious to ‘level the economic playing field’ by means of the new socialist clarion call for immediate action against the 'blight of mankind', global warming. Ready, Fire, Aim!!!

global warming is a myth you like most people probably confuse global warming with o-zone depletion when the ozone wears thin global warming isnt the scientific name for what will happen the nights will get a lot colder and the days will get a lot hotter so the average temperature on earth will remain the same even though it will feel different also just incase you didnt know science has proven that the ozone layer can fix itself
