how hard is it to start your own record label. I know there's several books on how to do it. Is it something you enjoy? what aspects are difficult? what do you enjoy about what you do? how easy is it to do, how much money do you need. Which books are helpful? What has been fulfilling about doing this? How well are you making it? THANKS

Yes you can do it.
No, it's not as hard as you think.
It is enjoyable, but it's hard work.
Talking and getting proper advice at the beginning is very important, so try to contact a smaller label and see if you can meet someone to find out more. Alternatively you could try to get some work experience or volunteer to work for a smaller label and see if it is for you.

My son owns a small recording studio in Memphis so i recognize in trouble-free words sufficient to be risky:) i'd say connect to a smaller recording studio...they are going to deliver company your way. then you definitely positioned out recordings that they have got finished. in order to locate skills...you should be in the right geographical area in the country and pass to the community venues, community with human beings in the marketplace and get some buzz going.
