the system is still effective...you need sure handed big men to make it work, you also need defensively sharp individuals (a premier rebounder...Phil had Grant, Rodman, then Grant and Shaq )up front to maximize the offensive opportunites, by wiping glass...and not getting lost on the switch...notice how lost kwame, cook, and bynum look when they get lost and end up either guarding a small guy outside or beat to the hole with their head facing away from the play...Phil will coach in LA until he wants to retire...

Its a very effective way to score. I don't like L.A. really but just look at the score when they play. They are usually in the game or ahead. They never go on a long scoring drought because you will score with that simple offense. Phil, Kobe, Lamar and one more good player point/center and the lakers are like the Bulls of Old, Multi-time champs. Maybe Yao, that would change the game...
