I don't have it b/c I am a full-time nursing student and a part-time employee and therefore uninsured. Not everyone who is uninsured are lazy and jobless...actually the majority aren't. What is wrong with me going to the doc and getting a $20 bottle of antibiotics when I'm sick...it would be cheaper than if it turned serious and I had to go to the ER and even worse the ICU and rack up a $100,000 bill which I can not pay...the hospital will pass the burden on to you and the insurance companies will of course pass on the bill to you in the form of higher premiums. I see this in the hospital A LOT more than you can imagine. So, you are much less likely to get financially screwed if you give me the darn $20 bottle of antibiotics!!!

Why doesn't some form of Universal Health Care make sense to you?

I need internet for school and my employer doesn't offer insurance to part-time workers...big suprise there.

Get another job...do u have any idea how time consuming nursing school is, I never even have a day off as it is. The only reason I have time for this site is b/c I happen to stay up late.

And this is the party of Christians? Sheesh. If Jesus hadn't risen, he'd be rolling over in his tomb!

Clitty that is meaner than you can even imagine, my father died of cancer when I was 20 and that is not a fate I would wish on anyone. You are exactly what is wrong with people today.

Sway...my shortcomings? Are you serious? I have a 3.9 GPA, lots of friends and 99% of the people who meet me, like me. I work hard, but it is hard to make ends meet. You didn't even get the point of what I was saying...GIVING SOMEONE A $20 BOTTLE OF ANTIBIOTICS WILL BE CHEAPER FOR YOU IN THE LONG RUN...your lack of imagination is astounding. Talk about shortcomings.

Any one who does not see that our country desperately needs to do something about health care has to have their head in the sand. Most people who are lazy and jobless are most likely already enrolled in some sort of government program. That leaves the self-employed, students, and other un-insured workers in the lurch.

Didn't you know that it is a crime to get sick in this country, unless you are either:
A.) Well insured.
B.) Very wealthy and willing and able to be robbed by the hospital.

I do think that our country as a whole is finally starting to wake up a bit. The sad thing is that it takes someone having something happen to them personally before they wake up and say, "Oh my gosh! We have to do something!"

Something else I find ridiculous - Unpaid medical bills being reported to credit reporting bureaus. I can understand it if it is for elective or cosmetic surgery, but when it comes down to either having good credit or death, there is something really wrong with that.

Eventually, you will finish you schooling and find a decent paying job as a nurse. You will then have the health care you want. You will then start wondering why your taxes are so high and why the premium on you health insurance is so high. Then you will start to realize that SOMEONE has to PAY for all of that FREE health care you want now.

If it was just your $20 bottle of pills, I'd buy them for you. But it the other ten or 20 or 30 or 40 MILLION others that want the same thing.

Way too many people abuse any kind of free or low cost health care system. My wife works for the VA hospital, she sees the same drug seeking, drunken bums checking in and out, costing the systems millions of dollars. NO you can't screen them out because some dumb butt Liberal Democrat decided that the rest of us had to take care of them.

Ha ha $one hundred fifty million for commercials to push obama care. whats up he admits he's, in the darkish on the a million,018 web page, 2.541 section bill pushed through over one hundred,000 pages of guidelines and regulations. i trust that it truly is regular for the celebration in potential to ge the fifty 5%-40 5% split of the money, yet they bought out very last twelve months. in case you seem at well being care sector they threw 1/2 one billion at our tremendous elected officials. so that you're heading in the right route for this, yet those adult males did a similar element they did with the Medicare Prescription Drug deal (i imagine). Wh is the guy n the administration that his company is getting a tiny $12 million promoting deal from the White homestead so he can get his $2 million they owe him. it truly is unhappy, reason now, in the late summer season you'll get preemptible commercials for ninety% of fee and don't have be tense about being bumped. Many ought to apply that money. if it is to help the persons then come across a quantity and help them now, no longer 4 years down the line even as it kicks in in 2013. Have a astonishing 2009!

5 years ago I worked as a temp, fixing computer problems at a welfare office. At the time, I was working and uninsured, yet some of my taxes were paying for medical care for the people who walked into that office. What kind of crap is that?

The government should either cover everyone or cover no-one. Nothing in between.

I agree with you totally....don't mind the mindless ignorant people who don't care anything about the candidates running for office. the candidates could be murderers, but if they say we're not gonna raise taxes, it gets that rich mindless naive vote. Vote Democrat

I was at a few points in my life, in between jobs that offered insurance, when i got sick and needed to go to the doctor I went and paid for it.

Besides - if you can afford internet service you shoudl be able to afford a $20.00 bottle of antii-biotics.

Don't libraries have internet?

Most people can make it work for them, but that takes work itself, so they would rather just blame their shortcoming on others. Happy Hunting

EDIT: (Again) - did I say your shortcomings. At least you are in school and will have healtch insurance in a while. Seriously, I went without for a while and made it work.

awww - look at all the thumbs down, how cute. Guess libbies dont like to hear about people surviving on their own without the hand outs to guide them.
