Did Rinko Kikuchi really did the naked part in Babel?

I think it is really her. Part of the reason for all her accolades is that it was a gutsy performance.... to appear so vulnerable and naked at the same time. It was not that the character was feeling bold while naked. She had no option but to discard every shred of her self-respect to see whether she would be accepted. Quite heartbreaking in a way!

It's not a body double, because you see her entire naked profile in many shots; I don't think they used her head and went and replaced her body. Further, Babel is not that kind of film. It would have expected whichever act did that part to be actually nude.
