How about you write him a letter telling him what is so special about him. Last Valentine's Day I wrote three letters to my husband (I gave on the 12, one on the 13th and the last letter on Valentine's day). In the first letter I told him all the things I admired about him. In the second letter I told him how handsome he was and in the third letter I told him how desireable he was. Of course, yours don't have to be the same themes, but my husband keeps the letter telling him what I admire about him in his car and reads it often. He was deeply moved that I would take the time to write down my positive feelings for him. I talked about his integrity, loyalty, role as a dad, success, friendship, and confident (among others). He loved it, and I'm sure most men would love to read what you admire about them.

67 hey? Hmm.... Time to be fun. Send him on a little treasure hunt around the house and back yard with little clues along the way. Make it fun. Make one a riddle that he has to ring a friend of yours with the answer to get the next clue and stuff like that. Make the last clue in the backyard and directing him to the bedroom. While he is out there figuring out the clue, you jump in bed with nothing but a ribbon on and his some of his favourite sweets or something. Romance is about fun and laughs, not gifts. He will love it and you can just sit in bed laughing and nibbling on the sweets. You could make love, or just talk for a few hours and kiss and cuddle. Just appreciate each other. This is the sort of gift Saint Valentine would have appreciated. He believed in two lives sharing.

A box of candy would be nice. You probably wouldn't want him to overeat (he still has 33 years before he hits 100) so a small box would be nice. If he wears ties, you can get him a bright red tie. Perfect for Valentines and when he wears it, he'll think of you.
