I inherited a free HP deskjet 840 C. It says it is compatible with Windows 95 & 98. I am running Window XP. Is there a way to hook it to my computer.

Should work fine, just have to grab a compatible driver. XP has alot of support built in for that kind of stuff but you may have to search it out if it does not. Just plug it in and XP should find it when you fire up your computer and take care of setting it up for you.

It would work fine with XP. When you connect it it would automatically detect and install the Drivers. But if that particulr model is not in Winxp List select a munber which is close to it.

Those drivers should work fine.

Just Plug it in. If your lucky XP will immediately look for the driver and install it for you. Then you might have to go to Start>Printers and Faxes to select it as your default printer.
