Is this a myth???

This is a myth. What happens is that when you cut the hair has a blunt end which seems thicker. The hair before you shave it has been worn and has a tapered end making it seem finer. Lots of people think this is true but its not.

Myth, hair becomes more coarse when it grows back. Check to see if back hair runs in the family. Most likely there will be a few in the family that share the curse of facial hair, back hair, or otherwise. If you are meant to get it, you'll get it. The likelihood of copious amounts of hair growing in unwanted places will only increase as you get older. Find a good woman to pluck the hair from those unwanted places, it will take longer to grow back.

yes myth! even i kno that, i'm female.... the reason why people think it grows back "thicker" is because when it begins to grow back, it feels rough. well, thats because your razor cuts the hair off at a diaonal angle. I hope this makes sense! Your hair can't grow back thicker because your hair folicle/pore is only so big!!

It is a myth...tho it may seem like it does..it's not tru...it's all because when u do shave...your razor shaves off ur hair @ an angle...therefore..when it grows back it seems to "prickle" more...but test it out n see...if u let ur hair grow out a lil longer..it'll b soft again!!..so it's a myth!

No, it only seems that way because the hair is cut bluntly, you are looking at the full cross section as it grows. Naturally hair grows more tapered on the end, so it looks thinner.

Yes! Shving makes hari grow back thicker. Also, if you shave in the oppesite/upward direction it really makes hari grown harder and thicker.
