A woman does not need to shrink at all. Unfortunately, many still do. In my 20's I was 5'3". Now I'm 5'. What has happened is I've gotten little cracks and breaks in bones of the spine. I've also got the beginnings of a hump--caused by polio years ago.

Not sure of the answer to this one but my 86 yr old grandmother (who has osteroperosis) has shrunk 2 inches. I think that is all she will shrink. I think though that it varies from person to person. I think that my grandmother shrunk more than most due to her osteroperosis.

Depends on her posture and calcium intake but according to todays stats of older woman I think its an inch.

I think it is different for all women it depends on how well she took care of herself, exercise, eating habits. bone loss. a lot of factors effect the outcome.

if she's on jenny craig diet 20lbs
atkins 10lbs


thats a big if ... alot of them dont shrink
