He got stiffed. The NBA should have named him to replace Carlos Boozer because the Jazz are too good of a team not to be represented in the ALL-STAR GAME.

Nobody knows. He should have been there over whatever chump is starting, but the fans are the voters. He is 2nd in the league in assists there is no way he should be left off the all-star game roster. That being said, Melo obviously deserved a spot and Steve Nash deserves to be there over Deron any day of the weak. Also, Nash and AI might not play so Deron still has a good chance of getting in. What I'm most upset by is Memo getting snubbed in favor of the role playing Josh Howard. Memo should have replaced Ming or Boozer plain and simple.

Because it's all about the money, and drawing the biggest crowd possible.
Deron Williams is an excellent player with superior skills. But he hasn't been in the NBA long enough to get name recognition. Deron is not a household name like Lebron, Kobe, Steve Nash or Car"Melo" Anthony.
The NBA wants to sell more tickets so they put in big name players, not good players who can hustle.
Now, about Carmelo Anthony.... I guess NBA commissioner David Stern wasn't serious about "Cleaning up the image" of Basketball and being "Role Models". It's all about the Money these days, who cares if he's a thug ?

Too many guards ahead of him
he doesn't deserve it over Kobe, McGrady, Nash or Iverson and in the WEST the forwards get all the wildcards because there are so many good ones that 24 and 10 Randolph is off the team as well
Williams could still get on the team if Iverson needs a replacement for his ankle but that spot is most likely going to Ray Allen

Williams is Avg. 17 points and 9 rebounds. Hes having a great year. He is a Point Guard in the West. There are 3 spots on the West roster for Point. Nash and A.I. have better numbers to date, Tony Parker is the 3rd Point Guard on the West but Tony Parker is Avg. less points and Assists then Williams. So Put Williams in over Parker if you are going by Stats for the Year, which they should. Baron Davis has better numbers than Williams though. So Williams is the 4th man out....

Williams shouldn't be left off the All-star team. Jazz is too good and they need williams to represent them. Why did he get left off you ask? its because the coaches made the wrong votes.

cause he's very young, and just like billups and hamilton never went to an all star game till last season, now they've had 2 str8 appearances, it takes a while till coaches start voting for young guys like him who r not elite to be picked for an all star game, and west has so many great guards, but he'll probably go to many all star games in the future if he stays healthy, but now Nash says he won't play in the All Star game so Williams will probably replace him now

because he is not an all-star
he is a good young player key to young player alot of assists but hes no Steve Nash
also the easiest answer of all is that the voting process is really flawed because it is all on the fans they me and you are fans not player analysts i mean jeez shaq as a starter
he will make the game in a couple years if he continues to improve
answer number 2 just proves my point
