I've always had menstrual periods (duh) and they have been on time. Only this time, my period is a little bit late, but not too too late. My last period was from Jan 6th to 9th, 07. I was suppose to start my period last Monday, Feb. 5th, which was my 27th cycle day. Since then, I've been literally stressed out topping it off with my life. Today is my 33 cycle day and I've never had my "period" this late before. I wonder if I'm pregnant? If I am, that's good news too. Either way, what do you women think? Do you think my period will show up either late tonight, 34th or 35th cycle or do you think I can be expecting? Please help me out. Thanks in advance. Serious answers only.

yes, stress can effect your period. It can make it a little late or even last a little longer than usual. Stress has an enormous effect on your entire body. If you don't have a period for two -three weeks past the time you usually do then I would start to wonder if you were pregnant. Clear Blue Easy is a very good home test. I used it several times especially with both of my children then had it confirmed at my Dr. Relax, I know that's easier said than done.

Stress alters your periods. (Especially if you're stressing about your period.) Also, the older you get, the less "normal" your periods are. BUT, seeing as how it has been 5 days since you were "supposed" to start, I would consider getting a home pregnancy test, just to be sure. (EPT works great!) You should also look for other signs. Are your breasts tender? Are you cramping? Etc. If you "feel" like you may be, chances are you probably are. We women usually just know. If you're totally not sure, get a test. You have nothing to lose, but possibly a child to gain. GOOD LUCK! I hope that if you are wanting a child, that you are pregnant. Children are our little miracles....always remember that. There are many women who want them, but can't have them.

Yes. Stress can definitely make your periods arrive late. It is also possible you could be pregnant though, so if you don't get it in, four or five more days, I would say take a pregnancy test. But If you've been stressed lately, there is a good chance that could be the cause.

Stress can delay your period and just worrying about it will make you late as well. You mind can play tricks on you believe it or not. If you want to be pregnant and you just stress over the symptoms you will have them. The best thing to do would be to call your doctor. Good luck!!!!!

Your period has been like clockwork, but you have been under stress, lots of stress. Stress can affect your period. I think I'd purchase a pregnancy test just to make sure. Anymore, Pregnancy tests are almost as accurate as a doctors visit and a heck of a lot cheaper. Whatever-I wish you well.

Yes, stress could be the reason, a year ago that happened to me, I actually skipped a hole month but it was a ver stressfull time for me, I learned to calm down and take things slowly and has never happened again. On the other side you could be pregnant so you should take a pregnancy test just to be sure.
Good luck!!

usually your body will skip a few days if youve been stressing, also during that time you are less likely to get pregnant.
