Salary or career satisfaction for you?

Would you rather take a lowly-paid job but feels like you're gaining insights and experience, or a well-paid job that allows you to afford small luxuries once in a while, but you slog and stress?

Career satisfaction. Money can always come in greater amounts in time, but while I am waiting for it I would rather be happy with my job.

A well paid job. They usually go hand in hand for me though. People pay more for work that requires more expertise and thought. And for work that keeps you busy. These are all pluses for me that contribute to job satisfaction. I can only gain insights and experience in a job that challenges me to work hard and fast with high level of thought. But beyond anything comes the money. I work to get paid, no other reason. I just am far happier when I also achieve personal satisfaction doing the job.

I consider my career path to be ministry or spiritually directed and I have always felt that job satisfaction is more important than the salary or fringe benefits as long as I can make a living.

I'd go with the money, slog it out a bit and then opt for early retirement. I've worked several lowly-paid jobs befoe and you don't gain much insight nor experience from them coz you aren't exposed to the dealing sof the real working world.

I would most definitely take a well-paid job, because with a well-paid job, I can finally pay off my debt, remodel the kitchen, the bathroom, and make the closet in my parents' master bedroom into a bathroom.
