Some filipinos claim that the banaue rice terraces is the 8th wonder of the world but if you don't believe that, there is a lot more to the Philippines.
1. Chocolate Hills! I have never been there myself, but I would still like to see it.
2. Malls! 49 pesos = 1 dollar so if you have a wad of cash on you, don't be afraid to spend it!
3. Rizal Monuement. He is our national hero. He's story's quite fascinating... sort of.
4. Subic. It's like this beachy kind of place. It's awesome, you should check it out.
5. Baguio. Their strawberries taste awesome! Plus, if you go to good shepherd, i love their ube, peanut brittle, and everything else they have in there!
6. Palawan. It's really cool there because it's one of the sandiest beaches in the Philippines.
7. Boracay. My sibs always try to find a way to get there, and somehow, I haven't been there yet but everyone says it's awesome there.
8. Mountains/Bundok. My grandfather had one of these, and it was great how we got to see pigs roaming around, a LOT of trees, and some pigs and cows....
9. I can't write them all down! But i hope you find this pretty darn interesting.....

In the north of Luzon you to go to Baguio and the Sagada. Baguio is best visited during summer and from here Sagada is just 4 hours travel, here you can see the old practice of burying the dead plus the beauty of the Rice Terraces of the Philippines which is considered as one of the wonders of the world.
In Metro Manila, you have to visit the Intramuros (walled city) here you can find Fort Santiago where Jose Rizal (our National Hero) was imprisoned. Nearby, you can drop by at the Manila Cathedral. Then you proceed to the Rizal Park where the monument of Rizal is located. From here you can go to Macapagay Avenue on your way to SM Mal of Asia for seafood dining.
In the Visayas, you can go to Cebu for the Sinulog Festival which is being held every January. Then you can proceed to Lapu-lapu City, Cebu and visit the place where Lapu-lapu and Magellan fought. You can also go to Boracay Islands which is tagged by tourist as paradise island.
You can visit also the Palawan Island, it is where most of our beuatiful beaches are located, we have there the El Nido, Dos Palmas, Amanpulo (but very expensive) etc.
Southward, in Zamboanga, we have the Dakak Beach Resort. We have the Ma. Cristina Falls in Iligan and the Mt. Apo in Davao.
There, I hope you'll enjoy the Philippines.

I had been in California for 6 months. I am a Filipino American and there is no place like home, the Philippines. Though I had been to Golden Gate, Disneyland, Hollywood, Universal Studios, Sea World, San Diego Zoo, I still love the Philippines!
The Mall of Asia is surely, a dont miss thing to do. Did you know that it is bigger than the Mall of America, which is the biggest mall in the USA? Fililpino balikbayans would love shopping here
because it is cheaper. In terms of shopping, dont ever miss 168 in Divisoria, balikbayans really get crazy going there. The goodies are really cheap. I would say, not only Mall of Asia will you see in the Pasay area and its surrounding area, Manila and Makati. When you say Makati, you will see the best shopping malls and restaurants in the country. If you really are into shopping you can check in Shangrila Makati which is just right in the heart of Makati. New World Hotel is also located in the vicinity. I had checked in almost all the 5 star hotels in Manila, Makati and Quezon City area and I would say it is only in The New World Hotel that I really felt safe swimming. This is in terms of safety, they have rubber matings from the pool area to the shower areas unlike other hotels in which you feel too slippery and that you might slide anytime. Visit also Intramuros, you will see the old churches and restaurants in the Philippines. The Philippines had been under Spanish influence for 300 years. Wow Philippines, is another place to see in Intramuros, where they feature a place in the Philippines. You dont have to go literally to that place because they have schedules cultural shows and even sells goodies from that place.
Boracay is the place where most tourist go. Foreigners really love our beach. Some Filipinos hadnt even had the chance to go here. From the international airport in Manila, you have to ride a plane going to Katiklan in Aklan, from there you will ride a bus and later on a motor boat to reach your destination. There are no cars in these areas. The means of transportation is a tricycle. Most of the time you have to go walking along the beach or go and ride a motor boat.
PALAWAN is another place to go. I had been to DOS PALMAS and the place is really nice. When you are walking in the bridge, you will still see fishes down in the clear water. Comparing Boracay and Palawan, Boracay is more commercialized, meaning more people along the beach. However, if you really want more time with nature and really wants to be alone, then this is the place for you. It is like paradise! Those more affluent goes to El Nido, which they say is really nice. Visit Palawan on 43 places in the web and see the comments of people who had been there and some pictures of Palawan.
Another place worth visiting is ILOCOS. Ilocos had 2 parts, Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur. In Vigan, you will see the native houses there. In Pagudpud, you will love the beaches. They got white sands there too. Chinese and Taiwanese usually go to Fort Ilocandia. Well it is worth the trip by bus, unlike the 2 in which you really have to take the plane.
Tagaytay and Baguio City are places you will defnitely go during summer seasons. These are cool places in the Philippines. Tagaytay is nearer to the International Airport. It may take you 2 hours on a regular day. Baguio City is on the north, and it will take you more than 5 hours to go there by bus or private car. There are aircon buses going there in Baguio City. in Tagaytay City, you will see the famous Taal Volcano. There are alot of places to eat which is really tourisy in price. Tagaytay is also a city like Baguio however, it is more quiet and you will definitely need a private car to visit the place. Josephines restaurant gives you a nice view of the Taal Volcano. They have buffet breakfasts and lunch every Sunday which is really affordable. In Baguio City, you will be able to go around the place riding only taxi which you wont find in Tagaytay. There are jeepneys too!
A reminder, if you go to the malls and go to the comfort rooms or the restrooms, there are no toilet papers available, so you should bring your own. There are lots of pickpocketeers in the Philippines like any other key cities in the world. Dont wear expensive jewelries and dont show of your bills of money. Dont use your cellphone too often in public places. However, on top of that, the noise of Manila is really the thing I missed when I was in California.
