Ok, I was SO MAD when the Dixie Chicks won best album. I'm sorry, but that title belongs to STADIUM ARCADIUM BY THE RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS. As a whole, that album is one of the best pieces of music I've ever heard. Every song is a new adventure. (I prefer "Slow Cheetah" and "Make You Feel Better.")
Honestly, I was predicting Justin Stupidlake to win for his lame album. Who feels that the PEPPERS GOT ROBBED?!?!?!

I know exactly why the Dixie Chicks won. It was political, they were being "honored" for "standing up" to President Bush. OI have no problem with artists being political but awards should not be. I can think of so many albums that should have won best album (I would have voted for the freakin Wiggles before I would have voted for the Dixie Chicks). For most of my life I have made my living in the music industry and I listen to all kinds of music. There is no way that the Dixie Chicks put out the best album of 2006, no matter how you judge it, it didn't sell the most, it wasn't the best produced, it wasn't the best from a musical point of view, there were no poignant lyrics....I could go on and on. The Grammys have gone the way of the Oscars folks, it's sad but true. I, for one, will not watch again for a very long time.

I STRONGLY AGREE!!! The Red Hot Chili Peppers got robbed for Album of the Year. I have purchased both the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Dixie Chicks album (don't know why I wasted my money on the Dixie Chicks album), and to tell you the truth the Red Hot Chili Peppers had better material in their album hands down. I listen to RHCP album all the time and never get tired of it. I'm not surprised the Grammy's pulled such a crappy vote, it always happens towards the end...but I had hope.

I have no idea why the Dixie Chicks won. I don't see any good qualities to their music. Now, the Peppers, on the other hand, are absolutely fantastic! I was so disappointed when they lost to the Dixie Chicks.

Nah. "Dani California" wasn't that great, though the video rocked. And they won best Rock Album. I love the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Their performance was so solid, but all that ticker tape? Like a fortune cookie factory blew up!
But the Dixie Chicks paid their dues. They been through so much (Watch "Shut Up and Sing").
But Timberlake? Huh. Never thought "Sexyback" was that great....

No, I think Dixie Chicks were deserving for the awards. Don't get pissed 'cause Peppers got 4. So it's not unfair, though.
All Album of the Year nominees have their own grammys right now, not just one but more than one or two.
We have to remember that this is a peer voted. Artists vote for artists, producers and so on. It's 11, 000 voting members.
Let's just celebrate music. Anyways, everybody is a winner.
I think this is the best grammy ceremony ever in the past 6 years.

After All the Crap the Chicks and their fans went thru, this is 110% Vindication for all of us!!! When the Bandwagon fans, Nashville, and the Industry turned their backs on them and us, The Real True Fans. The Real True Fans kept on Supporting them!!! Anybody who is a Real True Fan of theirs is Smiling from Ear to Ear. This makes My Year!!! I went to their Concert in November in Phoenix, it was smaller in scale compared to their last tour when they were Huge, but it was Great to see The Real True Fans come together and support the Chicks!!! So Natalie has every right to do what she did at the Grammys, She could have been Nastier, but it was Great that She did it the way She did it by saying, "Well, to quote the great 'Simpsons' — 'Heh-Heh.' So "Heh Heh" to all those people who turned their backs on the Chicks!!!

Amen. I can see there's not a lot of love generating towards them at the Grammy's. They got robbed, snubbed, jipped, whatever you want to call it and so did I.
I shall go sulk about it with a RHCP album. Seriously.
