Because in October and November a lot of people were saying that it was their birthday. Nowadays they rarely do. So the image they are cast in is really not true. Deep down they would like others to know how they really are.

Actually Scorpio's very loving and tender. You have totally hit the nail on the head. Because they are secretive in nature, they won't show this side to just anyone. In order for you to really understand a Scorpio's depths, you have to have a lot of time and LOTS of patience.
If you think of the Ocean (Scorpio's a water sign), most of the time it's only on the surface that there is turbulance. Once you get to the dark depths of 1 mile, it's calm and pitch black. But it's in this calm, dark depths that one can find peace and simplicity.
Really when you get to the core of a Scorpio's heart, they are this peace loving soul that loves the simplicity in life.

Scorpios can be soft at sometimes. But I have never met a Scorpio that didn't have a secret or a couple bones in their closet.

Scorpios are soft emotionally but dont show it.They are very protective about there emotions and overrall they are forcul,secretive,strong.
