I don't think they'll take Adrian Peterson, anyone who watched the Lions play, know they don't block and Peterson is known for being injured.

Peterson is still the best RB in the draft. If Detroit can get him, they should. Kevin Jones is too inconsistent, and when he is healthy, Peterson is unstoppable. I think Quinn will slip in the draft, and someone will take Russell early. His physical attributes will be too much to pass up. Kitna is better right now than Jones, so I think a bigger need is RB.

No way. Kevin Jones is a monster. Kitna is effective. Roy Williams is a stud. They need D.....Peterson is a great back and will have a great career, but for another team. The lions are just fine on O>>>> I would get a FAST PASS RUSHER on the corner. That position can dominate a game. Look at Joey Porter, Merriman, Dwight Freeney, Mark Anderson, Simeon Rice. They rush with such speed and power it changes the game. That is what the Lions need...

It would be a good pick but you cannot pass up what your main priority is and that's the Offensive Tackle Joe Thomas. Peterson is the best running back in the draft with Lynch right behind him. Peterson will go to Cleveland and Lynch to Green Bay in the 1st round. With Michael Bush, Kenny Irons, and Tony hunt being great options for getting a running back in the 2nd round. Kenny Irons and Tony Hunt would be good fits for Detroit as a second RB.

i still think that you guys need a OT. Kitna is not a great QB, but he's not a horrible QB, and most of the Turnovers were caused by poor protection, and i doubt a new QB will help that situation. i really think that you guys should use multiple draft picks for Offensive linemen. with WR like Roy Williams i think that more protection will do a really good thing for their air attack. i would like to see them trade their 1st round pick for a later 1st rounder, 2nd rounder, and a bit more.
i am really interested in A. Peterson, but most reports said that Kevin Jones will be better before training camp, and i think Kevin Jones is a great Running back that runs for a poor line.
A. Peterson also has durability problems so i don't think it is right that he will split time with Kevin Jones, but they both get paid like they are the premier backs

I'd go for 1) JaMarcus Russell or 2) Brady Quinn, depends on who's taken #1, cause even if they don't produce at all there rookie year, next year will have better class of players outta the draft like OT Jake Long outta Michigan is expected to be a great player in the NFL, and most of the time Michigan O-Lineman become great in the NFL, like Runyan, Jansen, Hutchinson and Backus, and that'd help there O-Line improve 2nd year for the QB to get better

First off, Marshawn Lynch is a better RB than Peterson. Lynch has got better hands, can run, catch, and has the big play ability that few RBs have in this year's draft.
Nevertheless, the Lions smart choice is to trade the pick for more picks. But if they did have to make a pick, they should go with an impact defensive rookie and Jamaal Anderson out of Arkansas would be the way to go.

i imagine it is going to likely be a million.McFadden because he will be help the raiders grow to be more beneficial efficient a twin of AP did and has the likes of AP in the making.. 2. Matt sturdy factor- i imagine this is a marvel yet ought to finally end up to be the Rookie of the twelve months because he doesnt have a lot competition for his position( purely Garrett Wolfe) and he did tutor how tremendous he become at Tulane,( he rushed for 2,127 yards and 23 touchdowns) and he become the MVP on the Senior bowl meaning he ought to already be NFL waiting after college 3. Mendenhall- he will be able to take over Parkers position in many years and could be an excellent third down lower back 4.Kevin Smith-Hes destined to be a starter in Detroit with a weak pair of operating backs already there and become an All american also, he would have extremely some yards because he had the most rushing yards this season and become 2d in historic previous to the total Barry Sanders

I do't think he is Detrot's answer. When Peterson was a feshmen he was almost unstoppable (only USC shut him down). Something happened injuries are something and made him actually digress. I'm not sure he is the same back. Boise St. shut him down a good portion of the game and that's not good.

No one is a good fit in Detroit, sorry but until the Ford family wakes the hell up and fires Millen, the Lions fans are the ones who have to suffer. Barry was right to retire when he did.
