What is a stem-and-leaf plot and how do you do it?

i haven't done that in years...hmmmm....isn't that a chart, like if you had these numbers it would be:
23, 25, 25, 27, 39, 46, 47
Stem - Leaf
2 - 3, 5, 5, 7
3 - 9
4 - 6,7

If you have numbers with more than one digit, the rightmost digit is the leaf and the remaining digits of the number comprise the stem. Here is a link that explains it.
